Huge Mural of Santorini Brings a Taste of Greece to New Zealand

A new shop in New Zealand which imports and sells authentic Greek products is capturing the attention of local people with a huge mural depicting the Greek island of Santorini decorating its walls.

The “Little Greece” shop, located at Browns Bay, north of Auckland, has prepared in style for its grand opening on Saturday and Sunday, the 14th and 15th of December.

The owners asked local artist Angela Johnson to bring a taste of Greece to their establishment. The artist, who has been painting on site, right in front of the public, has created a large mural of Santorini in a beautiful fulfillment of that vision.

She also painted a massive 7-meter long Bougainvillea plant on an interior wall of the shop as another reminder of the beauties of Greece.

Local people have apparently fallen in love with the artwork and are flocking in to the shop to try some of its delicious products and get a small taste of Greece for themselves.
