Concordia Summit to Focus on Latin America’s Potential

Concordia, a nonpartisan nonprofit organization which builds public-private partnerships to make a social impact on the world, is organizing the “Americas Summit,” to be held in Bogotá, Colombia on May 13-14.

Bringing together world-renowned political leaders, business innovators, and global non-governmental representatives, the Summit will provide an international platform through which to address immediate humanitarian, economic, and political issues impacting the Western Hemisphere.

Topics to be explored will range from Venezuela’s ongoing political and humanitarian crisis and the immediate policy and investment steps that must be taken both on a domestic and international front, to Latin America’s status as the globe’s next hub of technological innovation.

Additional focus areas include security and the cross-border fight against narco-trafficking; scaling local solutions to make progress toward the Venezuelan crisis; and development and peace in the region, with an emphasis on the Colombian peace accords. Additional areas to be discussed include trade, economic development, entrepreneurship and the role of innovative financing.

The Concordia organization was co-founded by Nicholas Logothetis and Matthew Swift.

Logothetis, an entrepreneur who has had a lifelong passion for politics and international affairs, is an executive board member of the Libra Group chairman of the board of Concordia.

He co-founded Concordia with the idea that facilitating cross-sector collaboration can more adequately address global challenges to create a more prosperous and sustainable future for all.

This concept, along with Logothetis’ commitment to solving pressing international challenges through the lens of partnerships, developed Concordia into the preeminent global hub for public-private partnerships in record time.

Concordia held its inaugural European Summit in Athens in June of 2017, which featured speakers including former Vice President of the United States Joe Biden and others.
