Senegalese authorities said they found on Thursday the body of the Greek captain who went missing after the trawler he commanded sank off the coast of West Africa on Tuesday.
Twelve crew members were rescued but another seven are still missing after the vessel “Dimitrios” sent out an SOS amid bad weather conditions in the area.
Greece has already started the process of transferring the body of the captain back to Athens, while Senegal is continuing the search operation.
