Haris Alexiou Εnchants Israeli Αudience

CE642EE9DA3AF82EF93EB4ED66B31B98With profound enthusiasm and a ten-minute applause the Israeli audience welcomed the famous Greek singer Haris Alexiou at the two concerts she gave in the crowded hall of Mann Auditorium of Tel Aviv on June 26-27 with the cooperation of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Tel Aviv.

Haris Alexiou was literally deified by the audience who gave her a standing ovation which lasted over ten minutes, honoring the great Greek singer.

She appeared in Israel for the first time 22 years ago and has built a relationship of love, trust and appreciation with the country’s audience. Many of her songs have been adapted to Hebrew and have already been made popular by the Greek-originated artist Yuda Poliker whom she publicly thanked. The artist also sang two songs in Hebrew, evoking deep emotions among the spectators.

The maestro of the Orchestra expressed his enthusiasm that the Orchestra hosted one of the greatest Greek female singers and also expressed his belief that this was a unique combination of Greek character and excellent music interpretation. Eighty musicians took part in the concert under Andreas Pilarinos.
