The famous Greek singer Despina Vandi traveled to Johannesburg to perform in the first concert of her summer tour. She might be working really hard and travelling constantly due to her professional needs, but at least she gets to visit beautiful places. After the island Skiathos, where she was found shooting a video-clip, the singer traveled to Africa for her concert.
The day she started her journey to Johannesburg she posted on Twitter: “Good Morning!! I’m preparing for my travel to Africa. I’m always nervous with those forever-lasting flights!!!” and 23 hours later, when she finally arrived, she let her fans know, saying: “Good Morning from South Africa! After 23 hours I’m finally here! I can’t wait for Saturday…”
Vandi found mild weather conditions, remarking that “the weather here is sweet as it is in October in Greece!” She says she’s really excited to be near Greeks of the Diaspora again, as this is not her first concert in a foreign city where expatriates live.
“Greek Goddess Despina Vandi visits Emperors Palace” reported the foreign press, while the famous singer performed in a great concert in the luxurious premises with the singer Christos Menidiatis.
The new Spicy contract of Menidiatis was celebrated with a cocktail party, also in Johannesburg. A few hours after the concert Despina Vandi found some time to relax with her favourite colleagues and she posted pictures in her personal Twitter account saying: “Relaxation time after an unbelievable night in Johannesburg! Thank you very much!”
