Crete to Be Advertised on China’s Government Website

200 million people will have the opportunity to admire Crete every day on the internet, thanks to the promotion of the famous Greek island by the government website of China.

The District Commissioner of Crete, Stavros Arnaoutakis, had a meeting a few days ago with the Vice Director and Editor-in-chief of the China International Publishing Group (CIPG) and Deputy Minister of General Administration of Press and Publication (GAPP) of the country, Huang Youyi, according to cretalive.gr. They discussed various subjects, such as the continuation of business trade and the forthcoming business collaboration, while the enhancement of the cultural cooperation in press and publication was of significant importance in their discussion.

Huang Youyi expressed his admiration for the cultural wealth of Crete, stressing the need to spread it all across the world.

According to the Chinese Deputy Minister, Crete will be advertised on the government website of the country, which 200 million internet users visit on a daily basis.

Huang Youyi was leading a six-member delegation, who paid an unofficial visit to the island and was warmly received and hosted by the District of Crete.

During their stay, the Chinese representatives were given a tour in the Heraklion Archaeological Museum, escorted by the District Commissioner of Crete, Stavros Arnaoutakis.
