Greek Seaman Abducted at Nigerian Harbour

 Gunmen yesterday attacked a Greek cargo ship and abducted a European captain and engineer of the ship, when it got close to Onne Port in the coast of Port Harcourt.
A security source told Daily Trust that the ship was conveying fertilizer to Nigeria from Europe before the attack in the morning. The attackers also injured two sea officers attached to the ship.
The abducted Europeans include a Ukrainian captain and a Greek engineer, while two Egyptians were injured.
The ship had fifteen crew members on board comprised of nationalities from Ukraine, Greece, Syria, Egypt and Philipines. No militant group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
Spokesman of the Joint Military Task Force Lt Col. Timothy Anthiga referred Daily Trust to the Army PRO of 2 Brigade, Bori camp but he couldn’t be reached.
