“Parthenon Marbles: The Story about a Theft or a Theft of History” is the theme of the third international literary competition organized by the Hellenic Cultural Organization “Nostos”. It is under the auspices of the Greek Embassy in Argentina.
In this year’s competition, where writers of any nationality are eligible to participate with literary pieces written in Spanish, Greek or English. Nostos will be cooperating for the first time with remarkable organizations abroad, working on the promotion of Greek culture and our history. This includes the Center for Greek and Byzantine Studies “Fotios Malleros” of Chile University, is the only organization of its kind in Latin America. It was established in 1968 by Philhellene Professor Miguel Castillo Didier.
It is also cooperating with the “Literary Association of Argentina”, where “Nostos” first launched the contest and for the first time with the “Hellenic Literary Association of the Five Continents”, the “Diasporic Literature Spot” from Australia and the Hellenic Community of Lima, Peru.
Ms. Tsardikos expressed her sincere gratitude towards the Ambassador of Greece Michalis Christides, who embraced the idea from the first moment. The Ambassador supported it not only morally but also materially, as the embassy will be in charge of publishing the anthologies featuring the best literary pieces from the contests.
The communication sponsor of the contest is ANA – MPA, willingly responded to “Nostos” invitation to participate.
