Somali pirates have seized a Greek owned container ship manned by a 12 member Ukrainian crew. The Lugela shit has a crew of 12 Ukrainians. It was about 900 nautical miles off the Somali coast after departing from the Gulf of Aden, when it sent out a distress signal to its Greek operator, the European Union NAVFOR command stated. On Saturday the vessel sent a distress signal to its owner from the Gulf of Aden. It was carrying steel beams and wire to Mauritius.
