Azerbaijani Scholarship Established in Greece

A scholarship named after Azerbaijani National Leader Heydar Aliyev will be established in Greece.
The Heydar Aliyev Scholarship is expected to be established in one of the most prestigious universities in Greece; at the Athens Economics University.  The University’s MBA program is considered one of the strongest in Europe.  The scholarship is by the Azerbaijani embassy’s initiative Azerbaijani’s Ambassador to Greece, Rahman Mustafayev told Trend.
Mustafayev said the university’s students will be awarded this scholarship for the best scientific research dedicated to Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijani-Greek relations.
“I have already met with the university leadership and they appraised this initiative. We now expect an official reply of the University and approval by the University’s Academic Council. We plan to create a jury, determine the list of interesting topics and submit them to the Greek students ‘competition. Given the nature of the university, we can offer students a topic not only on economic and energy subjects, but also to make concrete business plans for specific projects in the field of bilateral cooperation. The best works will be evaluated, awarded the prizes and the authors will get the opportunity to visit Azerbaijan in the future,” he said.
Mustafayev (photo) said this initiative aims to increase Greek students’ interest in Azerbaijan and encourage them to study economy, domestic and foreign policy of our country that will promote greater understanding and cooperation between our countries.
