A group exhibition on Greece in Alexandria

The group of the HFC’s painting and sculpture workshop will carry out an exhibition presenting works at the Branch of the Hellenic Foundation for Culture in Alexandria. The group exhibition includes forty works inspired by landscapes, archaeological sites and the history of Greece.
The workshop has been held for the last six months at the HFC in Alexandria. The group consists of female students of the Teachers’ Training School, the University of Alexandria, following visual arts courses.
For the completion of their assignments, the students consulted books and albums on Greek mythology, archaeology, painting, photography, sculpture and engraving from the Branch’s library collection. This collection has also been the source of inspiration for their art work.
The exhibition will be open until the 15th of September and will be open to the public from Monday- Friday, 10:00 – 15:00 hrs.
