South Africa 2010: Rehhagel names his 23

Greece coach Otto Rehhagel stuck largely with the tried and trusted when he named his 23-man squad for the World Cup finals in South Africa on Tuesday.
Rehhagel included both Giourkas Seitaridis and Christos Patsatzoglou who had been struggling with injuries. Giorgos Tzavellas, the Panionios left-back, however missed the cut, as did AEK’s holding midfielder Grigoris Makos.
Yiannis Amanatidis of Eintracht Frankfurt and midfielder Vassilis Pliatsikas of Schalke had already been ruled out by injury.
Giorgos Karagounis captains the side and is one of four survivors from the team that beat Portugal in the final of Euro 2004, the others being Seitaridis, Kostas Katsouranis and Angelos Charisteas.
Greece meet Paraguay in their final warm-up game on Wednesday.
