Chinese Prompted to Buy Greek Property

Happy housewarming!Greek Deputy Minister of Development, Competitiveness and Infrastructure, Notis Mitarakis, will meet with representatives of Chinese real-estate companies. The meeting will concern their plan to promote a new program that will issue residence permits to people who decide to buy Greek property.

The Deputy Minister departed for China today where he will hold meetings with Chinese government officials, representatives of Chinese businesses and Greek business executives that are based in China.

During his stay in Beijing, the Deputy Minister will meet with Deputy Foreign Minister Wang Chao, Deputy Minister of Commerce Zhong Shan, Vice President of National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), Zhang Xiaogiang and Secretary General of the Hellenic-Chinese Center for Entrepreneurship Michael Xi, in order to discuss investment opportunities in Greece during a Business Forum organized by the Greek embassy.

On Wednesday, February 12, Mitarakis will travel to Guangdong Province to meet with the local governor Zhu Xiaodan. He will also visit the Guangdong Association of Investment Abroad and meet with Greek businessmen based in the area.
