IKA Pensions Halted for Greeks in Egypt

ikaOne hundred and fifty Greeks receiving low pension from the Greek Social Insurance Institute (IKA) remain unpaid. Those are Greeks that live in Cairo, Egypt’s capital.

According to the announcement of Cairo’s Greek Community, IKA has halted payments for retirement pensions due to the census of pensioners that Greek government announced; all this, in order to reveal how many ghost pensioners there are, and also due to the new fiscal measures that have to be taken.

Cairo’s Greek community lawyers have worked in order to solve the issue, however there are still Greek pensioners of Egypt that cannot get their pensions, even if they have settled all the things that IKA requires in order to restart  payments .
