Greek Clothing Companies Eager to Expand in Israel

Greek clothing and knitting companies are keen to dress Israelis with more clothes “Made in Greece” and aim at increasing their share in clothing and textiles exports to the market there. This November 13, Tel Aviv will host its third consecutive exhibition for apparel and textiles companies, organized by the Hellenic Fashion Industry Association (SEPEE).

The first exhibition was organized in December, 2011, and presented the Israeli market with only Greek brands, while the second exhibition took place in March this year, featuring Greek private label companies. The first exhibition attracted almost 30 percent of the participating companies, who placed orders, while both expos attracted some 100 Israeli businessmen.

The third expo will be a mixed one presenting both brands and private labels. Co-organized by SEPEE, the Greek Office for Commercial and Economic Affairs in Israel and the Israeli Chamber of Commerce, the event will also host various business meetings between businessmen from the two countries. Registrations must be made before Sept. 12.
