Greece is Guest Of Honor At Cairo International Film Festival For Children

Greece is the guest of honor at this year’s Cairo International Film Festival For Children that will be held from the 23rd until the 30th of March, while Eugene Trivizas, an eminent Greek writer, will be honored during the festival, as the Greek newspaper in Cairo, ‘Neo Fos’, reports.

The opening day of the festival will take place at the Opera House of Cairo, initiated by the Culture Minister of Egypt.

The Festival includes the following films: 30 fiction films, 30 documentary films and 55 cartoon films. Greece will present the films ‘The Boy and the Tree’ by Eugene Trivizas and Panagiotis Rappas, ‘Children Don’t Play’, directed by Angeli Andrikopoulou and Argyris Tsepelikas, and ‘The Village’ by Stelios Polychronakis.

During the festival, Greek cinema will be presented in several places throughout Cairo, as well as workshops for children, and a conference with the director Panagiotis Rappas as the main speaker.

Finally, the Greek writer Eugene Trivizas will meet with students from Greek schools in Cairo.
