Greek Language Proficiency Exams in May in Alexandria

The Greek Language Proficiency Exams will take place this year on May 14-16 at the Branch of the Hellenic Cultural Foundation in Alexandria, Egypt.

The exams organized by the Greek Language Centre of Thessaloniki are open to anyone of 8 years of age and over, with both oral and written sections, and will be conducted at different difficulty levels.

Everyone interested must submit a participation application by March 21 to the Examination Centre of the Branch, located on Sidi Metwalli str. – Attarin, 00203 4861598, from Monday to Thursday 10:00am to 9:00pm and Friday from 10:00am to 3:00pm.

All candidates must bring besides the respective participation application, a questionnaire and copy of their ID or passport. They must also pay the exam fees, which vary corresponding to the proficiency level: 350 Egypt pounds for A1 (8-12 years old) and A1 (for adolescents and adults), 420 Egyptian pounds for A2 and B1, 470 Egyptian pounds for B2, C1 and C2.

As usual, this year the Branch of the Hellenic Cultural Foundation in Alexandria has honored all candidates that passed the 2011 exams. The General Consul of Greece to Alexandria, Christos Kapodistrias, had awarded the Greek Language proficiencies to the successful candidates.
