Very productive Greek dance classes took place in Chile, in Punta Arena by the Greek community. M. Rapanaki taught teenagers and adults traditional Greek dances during the mornings and evenings. Anyone who wanted to learn how to dance “Syrtaki” and other traditional dances was welcomed at these lessons. This action supports the community and the Greek spirit of the area.
President of the Greek community, Helen Bourna, added that soon a new band of Greek traditional music will make performances across the country and the first destination will be Punta Arena.
M. Rapanaki and M. Costacopoulos had the opportunity last year to stay in Volos for almost 40 days and to learn traditional Greek dances.
