Director Fernando Meirelles and scribe Braulio Mantovani, both of them apparently fond of Oscar-nominations for the movie City of God are joining forces once again to bring together an Aristotle Onassis biopic. Their next possible directorial project will revolve around the life of the Greek shipping tycoon Aristotle Onassis based on the book Nemesis (Peter Evans): The True Story of Aristotle Onassis, Jackie O, and the Love Triangle That Brought Down the Kennedys. Aristotle Onassis was a wealthy businessman and a prominent Greek shipping magnate of the 20th century. He married the widow of President JFK, Jacqueline Kennedy, in 1968. The book focuses on Onassis’ antipathetic relationship with Robert Kennedy. As attorney general, Bobby had investigated Onassis’ international business practices and banned him from trading with the U.S., which apparently was linked with RFK’s assassination.
