Armed Somali pirates hijacked a Greek-owned freighter on Wednesday morning as it was sailing east of the Gulf of Aden, with a 21-member crew on board, the Greek Harbor Corps headquarters announced.
The Panama-flagged bulk carrier “Voc Daisy”(foto), with a 21-member Filippino crew on board, was seized as it was sailing east of the Gulf of Eden.
The bulk carrier, which was being led to the Somali coast, was en route from the United Arab Emirates to Morocco.
